Monday, 2nd July, 1838. This evening the entertainment is for the Benefit of Mr. Batty under the patronage of G.Goodman, Esq. The evening begins with Mons. Hengler, Jnr. ('La Spright Diavolo') performing new feats on the bounding court. This will be followed by a variety of different pieces including: Master Newsome, 'The African Roscius' appearing as 'Briton's Pride', exhibiting a series of pantomimic action, most notably Wallace, the Hero of Scotland. This will be followed by a 'Grand Eastern Entree and Calvacade' entitled, 'The Grecian Dames'. Mr. Frost will also perform in his 'favourite Nautical Act of Horsemanship; entitled, 'The Pilot, A Tale of the Sea'. The evening concludes with, '...the splendid representation of the 'Grand State Procession of the Coronation' from the Queen's Palace to the West Gate of Westminster Abbey.
