Friday, 29th July - Thursday, 4th August, 1892. This Payne's Theatre Playbill advertises plays that will be at the Theatre over the next six days. On Friday evening there will be a performance of a, '...splendid play' called, 'Leah'. On Saturday, ('People's Night') there will be a performance of a '...beautiful new drama' entitled, 'The Rightful Heir'. On Monday night there will be a performance of the '...splendid Burlesque pantomime' called, 'The Babes in the Wood' written by T.J. Lanes. Tuesday night will be for the Benefit of Mr. Frank Payne and there will be a performance of a '...splendid drama', followed by a performance of the '...great Burlesque' entitled, 'Cinderella' (or, 'The Lover, The Lackey and Little Glass Slipper'). Wednesday night will be a '...grand fashionable night' and there will be a performance of the '...romantic drama' called 'The Mistletoe Bough' (or, 'The Mystery of the Old Oak Chest'). The evening concludes with a performance of 'The Babes in the Wood'. Thursday night will be for the Benefit of The Brothers Gooden and there will be a performance of the '...interesting drama' called, 'The Shadows of a Great City'. This will be followed by a 'Variety Concert'. Each evening will conclude with singing and a laughable farce. All performances will commence at 7.30pm.
