Monday, 14th July, 1828. '...For the Benefit of Mr. Simpson, proprieter of the Dogs!'. The evening commences with a performance of a 'petite piece' called, 'The Dog of the Ship' (or, 'Sailors and Savages'). After which, will be performed the tragedy of, 'Othello' (or, 'The Moor of Venice'). The whole to conclude with the 'celebrated pantomime' called, 'Harlequin and Mother Goose' (or, 'The Golden Egg').
