This Playbill announces a production at the Royal Amphitheatre of the '...grand local Christmas Pantomime, called, 'Mother Goose of Woodhouse Moor' (or, 'Ye Queene of Heartes that made ye Tartes, and Harlequin ye Knave of Heartes, who ate 'em')'. '...In order to render the Pantomime complete in every detail, a special engagement has been made with the celebrated sisters, Misses Carry and Sophia Nelson'. The Pantomime is preceded each evening by a 'laughable farce'. There will be a 'grand day performance' of the pantomime on Tuesday, 26th December at 2.00pm.
Actors include: Mr. W.S. Foote, Mr. Brandon, Mr. Andrews, Mr. Staunton, Miss Scott, Miss Hatfield, Miss Wilkinson, Miss Calvert, Mr. C. Fenton, Mr. W. Harmer, Mr. H. Mackenzie, Mr. Harrison, Mr. Watts, Mr. Arrowsmith, Mr. W. Ellerton, Miss Carry Nelson, Miss Sophia Nelson, Miss Harmer and others.
