This playbill announces the engagement of Mr. H. Powell and his 'highly trained horses'. The performances on this Playbill commence with the, '...grand equestrian spectacle', founded on Lord Byron's poem of, 'Mazeppa' (or, 'Wild Horse of Tartary'). The evening concludes with a performance of a 'new equsetrian drama' entitled, 'Turpin's Ride to York' (or, 'The Death of Bonny Black Bess'). Performances are on the above date and throughout the week.
