Black & White image6th December 1946. e view looking south east at East Street Beck. On the left side of the photograph are a number of warehouses. Some are in disrepair with smashed and bricked up windows. The brick extension that is supported by stilts has a large crack in the wall and appears to be coming away from the main building. On the right side are a number of wooden buildings supported by stilts. Under these a substantial amount of debris has collected. In the background one can see the sign for 'Roberts, Mart & Co. Ltd., paper merchants' of Bank Mills, East Street.

The buildings appear to be constructed from wood and the building on the right of the photograph is derelict. All the buildings are supported by timber beams and stilts. Under the buildings some debris has collected, this includes organic debris, metal drums and rubber tyres. In the background are warehouses and it is possible to see the sign for 'Robert, Mart & Co. Ltd.' of Bank Mills, East Street.

The building on the left has several windows bricked up and a large timber beam juts out of the wall. There is a building extension that is built on beams and stilts above the beck, its wall has a large crack in the side. In the background one can make out 'Roberts, Mart & Co. Ltd.' of Bank Mills, East Street.
