Shadwell Lane, Holywell Lane (Shadwell)
Black & White image25th May 1955. View of Harry Carr's scrap yard to the rear of his house, Holy Dene, on Holywell Lane, just off Shadwell Lane. A delapidated fence separates the road from the yard, which has a corrugated iron hut and piles of scrap metal. A sign in the gateway warns that permission is required before entry. The hut was originally a recreational hut and later a scout hut, it still functions today as a recreational hut for a variety of local organisations.
