Woodbridge Road, number 23 (Headingley) (6 comments)
Black & White imageUndated. View of a single storey, prefabricated house addressed as number 23 Woodbridge Road, off Queenswood Drive. Houses like these were built all over the country in response to a housing shortage at the end of the Second World War. The government provided £150 million to finance the construction of the homes which were initially only designed to last between 10 and 25 years. Many are still standing today and have been reburbished.
