Black & White image9th July 1964, This house, number 88a is at the rear of numbers 88 and 90 which front on to Beeston Road. It is brick built and double fronted. Obviously a family house, there is a swing in the garden. A barrier made from garden canes separates the play area from the planted area.

Black & White image15th July 1964, View of corner terraced houses. The shop is licensed to sell groceries. It is on Kiln Street at number 20. The living accommodation is part of the premises and occupies number 1 Acton Street. Number 3 is on the right. Far right is the junction with Brixton Place.

The end door and window on the right are those of a block of several outside toilet facilities for the use of the street. A small boy rides his scooter. An area designated for clearance in line with the Housing Act of 1957.

Black & White image1963 Dewsbury Road begins here on the bottom left edge and curves round to the top right corner. The railway line can be seen to the left of the houses and flats which have just been built. These were to be named Parkwood Road. On the right, South Leeds Golf Course, with the Middleton/Beeston section of the Ring Road and Dewsbury Road came together at Tommy Wass's a large public house.
