The mills were taken over by Country Baskets a few years ago. The premises, seen here, are constructed in red brick and the two gable ends bear a decorative crest incorporating the initials of the firm of Thomas Amblers.

The business is in the former premises of Thomas Ambler & Sons in Bradford Road, part of Ardsley Mills. Ambler's were worsted spinners founded in Bradford in 1858. The Mill was built here because of the close proximity to a coal supply and a good labour force of women living in the area.
