The cluster of houses at the bottom are in Fine Garth Close, and at the top, Prospect Bank. Touklston Lane is at the top right. The Old Hall can be seen left of centre.

Black & White image1901. Back lane, long narrow road which ran alongside Marsh Lane. This view looks east, towards the beginning of Marsh Lane. The window of the house on the right is almost at ground level, so with the wall opposite, there would have been little natural light.

Black & White image1901. A long narrow lane, running from Kirkgate, parallel with Marsh Lane. It passed the back of the Old Red Bear Public House, the North Eastern Hotel, the George and Dragon Public House, and the Queen's Arms Public House. This view is looking north east.
