Beckett Park College (Headingley) (2 comments)
Undated, This was the New Grange estate. In 1834 the Beckett family renamed it Kirkstall Grange. Lord Grimethorpe sold the estate to Leeds Council in 1908. It was opened as a teacher training college in 1913. It was used as a hospital during the 1914 -18 War. The Carnegie UK Trust founded the mens P.E. College, the whole site is now part of Leeds Metropolitan University.
