Valley Road at the junction with Brick Mill Road (Pudsey)
Colour image1989. View of Valley Road, seen from the junction with Brick Mill Road. On the right are old terraced properties, numbering from left to right 65, 63, 55 and 53 Valley Road. Valley Road was originally called Workhouse Lane as it was the site of the old workhouse, a building which stood between 1765 and 1898. It had not been in use as a workhouse since 1840 but had been converted to cottages and a workshop. When it was demolished Littlemoor Board School was built on the site, which became Littlemoor Infant School. This too is now demolished.
