Black & White image17th August 1967. View of Claro Road from the corner of Claro Grove. Number 14 Claro Road is at the left edge, moving through in an even-numbered sequence to number 4 on the right. Between number 14 and 12 (with the diamond pattern on the door) is a yard housing outside toilet facilities. An old street lamp stands at the entrance. At the right edge the corner property with the street sign is number 26 Claro Grove. The Claros' are streets of red brick back-to-back houses. The even-numbered side of Claro Road is back-to-back with the odd-numbered side of Claro View and the even-numbered side of Claro Grove is back-to-back with the odd-numbered side of Claro Terrace. The photographs were taken by the City Engineers shortly before the area was cleared.

The large building had previously been a billiard hall, in this view was Sylva Products Ltd, bias binding manufacturers of 22 Servia Hill. On the right edge is number 20 Claro Road.
