City Centre, aerial view (City Centre)
Colour imageC1999. Aerial view of the city centre looking north from the River Aire at the bottom left towards the Civic Hall, Infirmary and Metropolitan University at the top. City Square can be seen near the bottom, surrounded by the Post Office building, the office blocks of No. 1 City Square and No.1 Park Row, the Royal Exchange House and Queen's Hotel. Park Row/Cookridge Street and East Parade/Calverley Street can be seen running upwards through the centre; The Headrow running horizontally across is not as distinctive. Taken around 1999 as the Prince's Exchange office block, opened in that year, can be seen at the edge of the river, but work has not yet started on Millennium Square.
