All Saints Lodge, Elland Road (Churwell)
Colour imageDecember 1968. View of All Saints Lodge built in 1911 on the site of the cottages known as Colliery Row. Local historian, Bob Dennis says that the first occupant of All Saints Lodge was the Reverend F.S. Sykes. He succeeded Reverend J.C. Handing when he left his appointment to become Vicar of Scammonden in 1913. All Saints Lodge is situated on Elland Road at the junction with Crossland Road, right. Chapel Houses at the corner with Crossland Road (Churwell)
Colour imageApril 1968. View of Chapel Houses located at the corner with Crossland Road. The building dates from the early 19th century and was originally Daffil Chapel. Afer 1850 the chapel was vacated when the congregation moved to the Zion Independent Chapel in Morley. The building was converted to three dwellings numbering from left to right, 5, 4 and 3. There is a name plate on the building which reads 'Chapel House'. The houses faced Elland Road but are now demolished.
