9th May 1910. Picture shows a leaking drain in front of the slaughter house on East Court. Cobbled paving slopes which probably indicates the leaking drain underneath. Sign on the door of the slaughterhouse says; 'No admittance except on business by owner H Paley.'

28th September 1999.Roadworks along East Street. Viewed from what was Low Fold and Timber Place. The Black Dog and Fisherman's Hut public houses can just be seen to the left. The Cross Green pub can just be distinguished to the right, There is a CCTV security camera on one of the lamp posts.
