The Nookin. (Oulton)
Black & White imageUndated. View of the Nookin looking North, North West. The date on the beam states 1611, though this is actually believed to be that of the restoration date. The building is thought to be at least a century older that that date.

The Nookin. (Oulton)
Black & White imageUndated. View of the Nookin from Leeds Road. The date on the beam says 1611, though it is thought to be the date of the restoration and the building is thought to be at least a century older. A report by Leeds University give the information 'Although the main structure of the house is wood, it contains neither nails or screws but is pinned together with wooded peas'. The main beams appear to be Pre-Norman and still in good condition.
