Black & White image1964. View of the Black Horse public house on Mabgate. This site was originally Mabgate Hall. Built in 1673, this later became the Black Bull Inn. This was rebuilt in 1868 and became the Black Horse.

Black & White image25th July 1905 Taken during improvements to the Quarry Hill area. Showing a fairly large area of debris possibly the result of demolition works. There are several men working with spades etc. In the background there is Mabgate showing various houses and retail premises, and it is also possible to see another photographer in the distance, towards the far side of the site. There are advertisements on a hoarding to the left of the photograph.

Beyond that is an unclear view of the roofs and chimneys of Leeds.
