Abbey Road (Kirkstall)
Black & White image3rd June 1953. Looking south down Abbey Road past De Lacy Mount (far left), Norman Mount and Norman Grove, all brick terraces with small gardens. A car is parked on the far right. Further along is a street lamp with a bus stop sign attached, and Harry Broomhead's shop (1 Norman Grove). A local resident remembers a bakery at the rear of the shop where Mr. Broomhead would make miniature loaves to sell for a penny each. Tram tracks and overhead power cables are visible.

Morris Lane, postcard (Kirkstall)
Black & White imageUndated. Postcard view looking north-west along Morris Lane. The houses on the left are at the end of a terrace of back-to-backs, with no. 31 Norman Grove nearest the camera and 32 Norman Mount behind. The odd numbered side of Norman Mount is yet to be built so the next houses along are on De Lacy Mount. Taken sometime around the early part of the 20th century.
