Two blocks of flats, Seacroft Gate, can be seen on either side of the road, this is at the junction of York Road and North Parkway which runs from the left edge. Below North Parkway is an area under construction where Seacroft town centre now stands. Baileys Lane runs from left to right with Brooklands Avenue. Above Baileys Lane on the right, The Green is visible.

Black & White image1962 North Parkway begins in the centre of the top edge of this view and curves round to meet York Road in the middle of the photograph. York Road runs diagonally from left to right. On either side of the junction are two blocks of flats, both called Seacroft Gate. Numbers 62 to 121 are on the left with numbers 1 to 61 on the right. Behind and slightly to the right is the Pathfinder public house. In front of numbers 62 to 121, Seacroft Mill can be seen, this was originally a windmill.

An area has been cleared in the centre for the building of Seacroft town centre, flanked by Seacroft Avenue, Seacroft Crescent and North Parkway; the latter winds around to the top centre of the photo. York Road runs up to the centre from the bottom right, passing between the two tower blocks of Seacroft Gate. Other tower blocks seen higher up are, from left, Brooklands Towers, Bailey Towers and Ramshead Heights; Queensview is yet to be built.
