Black & White image29th July 1930. Cobbled street, narrow pavements left can be seen grates for cellar ventilation and square iron coverings for coal chutes. These were fitted for coal to be delivered straight into cellars. A toddler stands in the road with no nappy or trousers. Houses on the right have small walled gardens. Now the site of Civic Hall.
