View of Oulton Institute on Quarry Hill. The building was originally opened ' for the benefit of men and youths' to be used as a reading and writing room and was opened in 1894.
A single storey building was built on land that was donated by Edmund Calverley.
A second storey along with the Harold Hall was built at a later date.
