Churchfield Place (Woodhouse) (1 comment)
Black & White imageUndated. View of Churchfield Place which ran parallel with Ashworth Street. In the distance Quarry Mount School, with distinctive clock tower, is visible. Also seen the very tall refuse destructor chimney on the skyline which is located on Meanwood Road. Also in the picture is Quarry Street up past the school to where it meets Hartley Grove. The photograph was possibly taken on a Monday, traditionally washing day, judging by the many lines of washing pegged across the street to dry.
