Seacroft Civic Centre, from Seacroft Gate (Seacroft)

This 10 acre development, which included shops, offices, restaurants, pubs, banks and car parks, as well as a library, bowling alley and clinic, was opened in December 1965 by Queen Elizabeth II. The tall building to the right of centre is Crown House, goverment offices; the windmill fish and chip restaurant is on its left. The road in the foreground is North Parkway. In the background the tower block of Ramshead Heights can be seen with Ramshead Drive leading off into the distance.
