Osmondthorpe, aerial view (Osmondthorpe) (4 comments)
Black & White imageUndated. Aerial view of Osmondthorpe showing Wyke Beck in the foreground. Halton Moor Avenue runs across from left to right with Corpus Christi R.C. Primary School below. Corpus Christi High School, which would occupy a site to the right of the primary school, is yet to be built, while the old Corpus Christi Church, seen to the left of the school here, is still there; this was to be replaced by a new church in 1962. Above Halton Moor Avenue are Wykebeck Avenue, Street, Road and Mount, with Neville Road to the left and Selby Avenue to the right. York Road runs from left to right near the top with the junction with Selby Road in the centre.
