This watercolour by Fred Swaine depicts Underwood Cottage off Calverley Cutting near Apperley Bridge. It is located at a narrow point where the River Aire and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal come close together. The second building along, then a barn, has recently been converted into a dwelling.
