Morley Medical Charities' Procession, float (Morley)
Black & White imagec1930. Harry Stokes & Son's Removal and Haulage lorry, of King Street, Morley, decorated as a float for the Morley Medical Charities Carnival Procession. The display is advertising Lux soap flakes and is obviously directed at washing with 10 girls on the back of the lorry plus a washing line and several youngsters with collecting tins kneeling down in front of the lorry. Black & White imageUndated. Aerial view of Torre Road showing the site of Burmantofts Works, the former Leeds Fireclay Co. Ltd., here occupied by Stokes & Dalton Ltd., spice food factory. Torre Road is seen on the left and Lupton Avenue on the right. St. Brigid's R.C. Girls' Secondary Modern School, now St. Patrick's R.C. Primary, is at the top left hand corner with the cul-de-sac of Torre Place just below. On the bottom left is part of the Torre Road bus depot while the New Eagle public house is seen at the bottom centre.

York Road, Stokes and Dalton (York Road)
Black & White image16th February 1942. Looking across York Road and past the tram lines we see the full length of Stokes and Dalton Ltd., Spice Merchants factory. The entrance to their yard and loading area is clearly seen. At mid right there is a long hoarding with an Ovaltine and Heinz soup advertisement showing. A factory chimney stands in the right background.
