Aerial view of Swinnow showing the railway line running across along the top half of the photo, with Swinnow Lane leading down from it on the left and Swinnow Road from the right; these two cross in the middle with the tower blocks of Rycroft Towers, Rycroft Green, Rycroft Court and Rycroft Place just above. To the left of the junction are Swinoow Avenue, Swinnow Walk and Swinnow Drive, while to the right are Wellstone Avenue and Wellstone Drive. Below the junction are Harley Drive, Harley Rise, Harley Terrace and Harley View. Above the railway line at the top of the picture is the Fairfield Estate at Bramley. Probably taken in the early 1960s, before the building of Stanningley by-pass.
