Manston Drive then Manston Gardens run across near the bottom, with St. James's Church above, on Church Lane which continues down to the bottom parallel to The Drive and Park Avenue. Penda's way and the Kelmscotts are to the right. Barwick Road runs from the left just below centre, becoming Leeds Road as it continues upwards to the right past the Stanks Bridge railway crossing.

Black & White image14th January 1953. View shows a very muddy road leading off into the distance. There are houses to the left with a stone wall along the road in front of them. A wooden gate is visible as is a street lamp and electric cables, and poles.

Nowadays, there is still a telegraph pole in the same position in front of the bungalows, left. A street lamp is visible at the end of the road. At the time of this image The Drive was unsurfaced with potholes.

Black & White image3rd May 1954. Picture shows houses down The Drive. Neatly trimmed hedges and gates can be seen. Trees line the road and there are grass verges either side of the road. A streetlamp is visible to the right. Puddles of water have collected on the road as it is unmade.
