Black & White imageUndated, Image shows the rear of a small one storey stone built cottage, Rose Cottage, situated in Potternewton Mount. It is surrounded by an overgrown garden and the photograph is thought to have been taken from the garden of The Round House. Flats in Potternewton Mount are visible in the background. These have since been demolished (c2000) and replaced by modern housing in 2003 and 2005.

Round House, The, Potternewton Mount (Potternewton)
Colour imageAugust 1989. View of the Round House located on the south side of Potternewton Mount. The former windmill dates from 1789 and is Grade II listed. It is thought to have been converted to a private dwelling in the 1880s. The Round House is built in coursed stone on a circular plan, four storeys high. There are ornate cast iron railings around the top.
