Boathouse, Waterloo Lake (Roundhay) (8 comments)
Black & White image1911 One of two large boathouses built on the northern tip of Waterloo Lake. In its hey-day it could accommodate 150 boats, and there was a dry dock 81 feet long by 12 feet which could take even the large 'Mary Gordon' when repairs and overhauling were due. In the late 1980s a second storey was built onto the boathouse and it was converted to the Lakeside Cafe.
