The area between the Wilderness car park and Wetherby Bridge is undergoing improvement with the laying of stone setts beside the River Wharfe. The addition of carefully placed wooden seating and picnic tables was to make this an attractive environment for leisurely activities.

View of Wetherby Bandstand located near to the Wilderness Car Park, on the banks of the River Wharfe. The Bandstand was funded by public subscription and built by volunteer workers in 2000. A Charitable Trust was set up to organise Sunday afternoon Brass Band concerts between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, during late spring and summer months.

Image shows Wetherby Bandstand situated close to the Wilderness Car Park on the banks of the River Wharfe. It was funded by public subscription and by volunteers in the year 2000. Regular Sunday afternoon Brass Band concerts take place here in the summer and late spring-time.
