On the far left of the image is the Leeds & Holbeck Building Society home to one of six 1725 Bar Stone, a 1725 medieval town boundary stone, now kept in a glass case. On the right can be seen the construction of Headrow House. In the distance buildings are visible in front of the Town Hall. These were demolished in the 1930s and the Victoria Gardens built on the site.
