These Bungalows were built as cheap council emergency housing during the 2nd World War. They were all removed in the early 1960s, with the last families being rehoused at this time.

They became disused and no longer required in the early 1960s. On the left hand side of of the road are a selection of semi-detached houses and Bungalows with enclosed front gardens.
