Black & White image9th November 1964, This view shows part of Back Pleasant Dairy and Back Blenhiem Place. Up to number 22, the street was named Black Pleasant Dairy, it then continued to 50 as Back Blenheim Place. They were all through houses with frontage on Ella Street. Number 12 is on the left, next is a passageway leading to Ella Street, then 14 can be seen.

Back Pleasant Dairy nos. 4 - 8, Blackman Lane Rear View no 16 (Woodhouse) (1 comment)
Black & White image9th November 1964, View of Back Pleasant Dairy, these were through houses which had entrances on Ella Street. The house on the left fronted onto Blackman Lane at number 16, the adjoining house on Back Pleasant Dairy was number 4, then 6 and 8 on the right. In 1904 houses and the dairy which had been situated to the front, at the corner of Blackman Lane and Blenheim Place had been demolished.

Black & White image9th November 1964, These were through houses with frontage on Ella Street. The row begins on the left with number 6 and continues to the right ending with 12. A dairy in the area had been demolished around 1904 when improvements were made to Blackman Lane.

Black & White image9th November 1964, Three houses which faced onto Blenheim Place, number 11 is on the left, followed by 9 and then 7 on the right is the area where the dairy had been. This and other houses were demolished around 1904 for improvements to Blackman Lane.

Black & White image14th May 1936. Parade of shops on corner of Malvern Road and Beeston Road. To left can be seen The Harrisons Arms, with Tetley sign outside, also a street lamp, letter box and cars. End of Brookdale Place is also in view. Shops in main view are, from left to right, R. Hudson and Sons, drapers; Maypole Dairies and another unidentified shop. In front of R. Hudsons are two large ladders with a plank between them. A man is standing on the plank and reaching up to a shop sign.
