The houses on the right are in a very poor state of repair, with broken or bricked-up windows, and a large hole in the roof. A car is parked in front. There is evidence of previously demolished buildings in the bottom right. A gas streetlamp is visible.

Their windows are broken and there is a large hole at ground floor level which extends to the back of the property, where two children stand. In the foreground, the garden walls leading onto the partially cobbled street. The houses to each side are intact and occupied.
