Black & White imageUndated A group of fashionable young ladies are gathered behind rows of seating.vIt is unclear whether the title of the photograph,'Guiseley Quartet' refers to the four ladies in the foreground or to some musical entertainment taking place. The Ladies have the corseted, hour-glass figures which were the height of fashion in late Victorian/early Edwardian times. The waist is nipped in and the skirt fall in folds from the centre back into a flowing train.

The BBC with the support of Leeds City Council, opened the studio in the Merrion Centre. It was later moved to Woodhouse Lane in 1978, the women are dressed in typical 1960s fashion
