Black & White image8th March 1966. Interior view of a passenger terminal at Leeds Bradford Airport. Taken after the old terminal had been destroyed by fire on 8th May 1965 and before the new one was opened on 3rd May 1968, this must have been the temporary terminal that was set up to accommodate passengers in the intervening years. It was located in part of the old Avro flight shed that was used during the Second World War for the testing of aircraft built at the Avro factory to the north of the airport.

This must have been the temporary terminal that was set up following a fire which destroyed the old terminal on 8th May 1965 and was used until the new one was completed in May 1968. It was located in part of the old Avro flight shed, built during the Second World War to part assemble and test the Anson Lancaster bombers built at the nearby Avro shadow aircraft factory.

A new one was in the process of being built, but this would not be opened until 3rd May 1968.
