Black & White imagec1900. Image shows female weavers at Laneside Mills, off Victoria Road. Most are wearing full length pinafores over simple blouses. The male overlooker can be seen at the left edge. Laying on the ground at the front are three young boys. The woman in the centre of the front row appears to be holding a weaving shuttle. These workers were in the employ of Charles Scarth & Sons Ltd.
