View of the 450 Horse Power Compound Tandem Gladstone Steam Engine showing the immense fly-wheel. It is photographed in the Engine House at Bean Ing Mills in Wellington Street, and was made in 1886 by the Brighouse engineering company of Woodhouse & Mitchell Ltd. It finally stopped work at 4-30 p.m. on Friday 4th January 1963, when the mill shut down.
