Black & White image29th July 1930. Narrow cobbled street. Gas lamp and telegraph pole on left. To right, row of houses with small gardens, one of which has washing out to dry. Area has since been converted into a car park at the back of the Civic Hall.

Black & White image29th July 1930. Street of brick dwellings, left side small gardens with walling. Cobbled street with narrow pavement. In the centre is Leeds Town Hall in the distance. Washing is hung across the street. This area is now the Civic Hall and surround.

Black & White image11th June 1947. howing broken pipes behind Brookfield Avenue (indicated in ink on the photograph). To the right of the photograph is a brick wall topped with trellis. A broken pipe can clearly be seen in the centre of the photograph. Concrete blocks covering the area have been broken and several are missing. Bricks, garden waste and other types of waste material litter the ground around the pipes. In the background are a number of trees with a washing line in front of them.
