Countess of Harewood in the Bird Garden at Harewood House with an emu. This was one of two six month old new additions to the Bird Garden, purchased from Whipsnade Zoo. They refused to pose for the photograph.

View of a peacock and two peahens in an enclosure in the Bird Garden at Lotherton Hall. The Bird Garden, which now houses, 200 species of birds, opened in 1980, with further additions in 1983. Construction work was undertaken by 16 year-olds as part of an employment scheme. The Bird Garden occupies the former site of the Kitchen Gardens to Lotherton Hall.
