Looking from the pedestrian approach across the car park of Colton Retail Park at the various units. The paved walkway has zebra crossings at intervals throughout the car park. Shrubs and ground cover plants flank the paved shallow steps in the foreground and tall lamp posts ensure the area is well lit at night.

The retail park was designed by architects Seymour Harris Partnerships of Aire Street, Leeds and opened in November 1994.
