 | 17th March 1952. Looking south/east across the waste ground towards Compton Road. On the right of the view is the Compton Arms public house, to the left a fenced off area with a small brick building and a few trees. This building was part of the Compton Library Gardens and was one of three shelters in the gardens which surrounded a green lawn. At the edge of the waste ground there is a broken advertising hoarding and beyond that a row of brick terrace houses.
