View shows Cross Flatts Park School on Harlech Road, probably taken around 1989 at the time that it was Cross Flatts Park Middle. Previously it had been a primary school, with separate buildings for infants and juniors; this was the rear entrance to the infants department, facing Harlech Mount. The houses in the backround are on Harlech Road. In 1991 the school was completely rebuilt as one inclusive building and it is back to being Cross Flatts Park Primary School again.

Harlech Road, in the area known locally as Cross Flatts, runs parallel with Tempest Road. The view is from the junction with Burlington Place and shows red brick terraced back to back homes on the east side, right. On the left are a series of short terraced streets at right angles with Harlech Road. At the bottom of these streets is Cross Flatts Park.
