Black & White image26th July 1950. Looking north-west at the junction of Abbey Walk and Spen Lane from Morris Lane. On the far side of the junction is a large stone wall with a black and white check pattern painted on the corner. Behind the wall are trees in the grounds of Crooked Acres, which can just be seen through the trees. The building in the wall to the right is also part of this. To the right of the road is a stone wall and pavement with a gaslamp.

The road is cobbled, with tramlines, standard pole carrying cabling for trams can be seen. Morris lane runs parallel to Abbey Road, on the right can be seen turret tower of large house on Morris Lane called Abbey Gorse. A light fall of snow is visible.

Grassed area is part of grounds for Abbey House Museum, Morris Lane running parallel across centre of view. The road is cobbled with tramlines. The poles which support overhead cabling for trams are visible, with wrought-iron work. The standard to the right also has a sign for 'Tram fare stage' (stop). A fall of snow is evident.
