Milk cart which had belonged to Scott Hall Dairy, previously the business of Christoher Spencer, it was later Whitakers. A boy is standing in the cart, holding the reins of the horse. It was part of Scott Hall Farm.

In front of the house, a milk cart which belonged to Christopher Spencer, Scott Hall Dairy. The cart is harnessed to a horse, there are milk churns in front of the driver. A young man and a boy are holding milk cans. Before milk was delivered in bottles, it would be measured out of the cans into a jug or similar which the buyer would provide.
