Black & White imageUndated. Possibly 1898-1904. View of a ward in what was then called Manston Infectious Diseases Hospital. In the centre is a stove with a tiled surround and chimney. A dressing table with mirror, jug and bowl sets for washing and plants can be seen. A nurse is on the right.

Black & White imageUndated. Possibly 1898-1904. In June 1892 the New Manston Hall estate was purchased from Edward Waud. In 1898 a smallpox isolation hospital was opened on the site. Building continued until 1904. This view shows early wards.
