Dr Collinson's House, Oxley Hill, Shadwell Lane, Aerial View (Moortown) (17 comments)
Black & White image1925. This aerial view shows a large property surrounded by trees and ornamental gardens, described as the residence of Dr Collinson. The house was known as Oxley Hill. In the top right corner is another large house known as Moorlands, while just visible on the left edge is a property called Heath Cottage, also with a formal garden. All the houses have since been demolished; The Moorlands has been replaced by a complex of two storey apartments, still called The Moorlands, while the sites of Heath Cottage and Oxley Hill have become the United Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.
